Kings County Synopsis

Kings County is the story of how the harsh reality of life in the inner city can defer the dreams of our American youth.

The film follows a day in the lives of four Brooklyn teenagers who attempt to fund their dreams by working for the local crack dealer.  Narrated by one of the teens, the film also tracks the path of a cop’s gun that passes through their hands and changes their lives forever. When the boys and their drug dealer boss tangle with a crack addicted Santeria priestess they receive a prophecy of doom, jail and death that is suppose to come true on this day. They all dismiss her as crazy except for their boss and return to the block where events regarding the cop gun have already begun to spiral out of control. Sexual deceit is revealed in typical, hot, ghetto style. Cool heads never prevail and a fateful prophecy comes true.
